Leroy Ortiz  - Chief Executive Officer

As co-founder of CLP, Leroy Ortiz has 28 years of experience in the Electrical Industry, with 20 years of experience managing, operating, and owning companies. Just after High School, Leroy was selected to be part of a Siemens AP program and soon began to work with a local electrical company which started his Electrical Career. He attended the Florida Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program in Orlando, FL, and acquired his Journeyman License in 2004. His career moved from leading Tract Home installations to leading Custom Residential Home projects and eventually into Commercial Electrical work in 2009. As he continued his education, he became a Registered Master Electrician in 2011. Opportunities began to open for statewide work, and Leroy tested for his Florida State Certified Electrical License in 2018. Leroy now holds 4 State Certified Master Electrical Licenses in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina, with plans for continued growth in the coming years.Leroy has developed an impressive resume throughout his career, including many well-known clients and projects. He enjoys working with his Builders, Customers, Clients, and team to form mutually beneficial working relationships. He aims to serve at a high level, bringing value and consistently producing a dependable, quality finished product.

Richelle Ortiz – Chief Financial Officer

As a college graduate, Richelle started her career in the banking and customer service industries. Over the years, her roles have rapidly progressed into upper-level and executive leadership roles. Her varied experience has expanded her working knowledge of many areas of a corporate administrative environment.Richelle is an entrepreneur at heart, and she welcomed the chance to start an Electrical Contracting Company with her husband, Leroy in 2004. Her financial background, attention to detail, and strong administrative skills have been an important key to the growth that the company has experienced over the years. Richelle has functioned in every administrative capacity within the company. At the inception of CLP, she started as the only administrative staff and has grown to now oversee all financial aspects of the company as the Chief Financial Officer. Daily she offers guidance and support to a team of leaders and administrative staff.Leroy and Richelle have five children, and they enjoy traveling and creating memories with their family. They attribute their success to the Faith they share. They both have a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others, which is the foundation for why they choose to grow their influence through various business ventures.

Dario Calle – Chief Operating Officer

Dario began his career in the Electrical Industry just after High School. He attended ABC’s 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship program and quickly obtained his Journeyman Electrical License in 2010.Over the years, Dario has held many positions of increasing responsibility. He enjoys growth and personal development, which has led him to take on various roles within the Electrical trade. Starting as a helper, he moved through the ranks to an Electrician, Superintendent, Estimator, Project Manager, and Estimating Director. He believes that his multi-faceted experience has been instrumental in developing a better understanding of the Trade, its processes, and our customer’s needs.In 2023, after 17 years in the Electrical Industry, Dario became a partner and Chief Operating Officer at Creative Lighting & Power LLC. Dario oversees the daily operations of CLP from preconstruction to the grand opening of each project, with a special focus on Electrical Construction Cost Budgeting. As part of CLP’s commitment to excellence, he focuses on delivering each project on time and within budget. Dario attributes his success to the mentorship of several leaders in the trade that helped him along the way. For this reason, Dario also enjoys mentoring and developing young talent in the industry, sharing his expertise with others.

FIELD OPERATIONS TEAM

Dino Martinez - Project Executive

With over 32 years of experience in the electrical industry, Dino has a diverse background in all phases of electrical construction. His electrical career has evolved from starting as a Helper, moving to being an Electrician, and into Foreman Roles. As an Estimator, Sr. Estimator, and Estimating Manager, he has successfully estimated and managed over 550 million dollars in work. As a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, his expertise included Residential projects of all sizes, Educational Institutions, Commercial and Industrial Electrical, Theme Parks, and Healthcare Facilities. He has now joined the CLP team as a Project Executive.

Christian Jimenez - Field Operations Manager

Christian joined the CLP team in 2023 with 25 years in the Electrical Industry. Throughout his career, he has continued to pursue growth and has recently obtained his Florida State Certified Master Electrical License. Christian has vast knowledge and experience in many project categories, seeing them through from concept to completion. Some of his varied experience includes Hotels, Healthcare Facilities, Multi-Family Projects, High and Low Rises, Banking Centers, Educational Institutions, Judicial Buildings, Retail Projects of all sizes, and many more. Christian is excellent at managing multiple crews successfully and enjoys training Apprentices and Electricians, as he has done throughout his career.

ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM

Debbie Soto – AP/AR Manager

CLP welcomed Debbie to the office team in 2020. With her extensive Finance and Customer Service background, she was the perfect fit to lead the Accounting Department. Debbie embodies the Core Values that are the foundation of CLP.  She consistently represents the company and the Leadership Team with excellence and Integrity. Debbie's position has grown into a Senior Leadership role that includes the Accounting Department, New Contracts, Change Orders, and Job Costing as CLP has grown.

Julie Ruiz - Office coordinator

Julie joined the CLP team in 2022 as an Office Assistant and has quickly advanced into the leadership role of Office Coordinator. She handles many aspects of the CLP office environment, including HR, Payroll, Licensing, and Permitting, along with many functions of the General Office. Julie has a passion for providing support to the office team, subcontractor team, and field teams alike. Her role is critical in maintaining seamless operations and fostering a positive work environment. Her joy and enthusiasm and dedication and attention to detail make her an invaluable asset to the CLP team

John Loughran – Change Order Coordinator/Estimator

John joined CLP in 2022 as an Electrical Estimator and Project Manager, but as the administrative needs of CLP have changed with growth, John’s role now exclusively focuses on Change Order Estimating. John decided to move from his original career path of Nuclear Mechanics for Submarines, and with the training and confidence he had acquired, he moved in the direction of Electrical Estimating. He daily helps support the CLP team in many diverse and ever-evolving situations. Aside from being flexible in his responsibilities, he brings a unique perspective to the table. With his persistent questioning attitude, he always looks at things differently than most. In innovating, he has implemented changes that have reduced countless hours from the CLP change order process. Whether you find him on a golf course, or sitting in front of his 6 computer monitors, stop and say hello, you are in for an interesting conversation.
